Tech company Xiaomi has partnered with Reliance Jio, the telecom company with the largest subscriber base in India. Due to this partnership, Xiaomi smartphones will get the benefit of Jio’s True 5G network. Jio is the only company in the country, which is giving the advantage of a standalone 5G network and now this fastest 5G network can be accessed in Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.
Jio has told that to take advantage of its True 5G network, Xiaomi and Redmi users will have to change the settings of their 5G devices. These users will have to go to the mobile network section of the Settings app and select ‘Prefer 5G’ under ‘Preferred Network Type’. After this, their device will use the company’s standalone 5G and high-speed internet services will be available.
The fastest 5G speed will be available on these phones
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra 5G, Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G, Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi Note 11T 5G are in the list of tech companies devices that will benefit from Jio’s standalone 5G network. , Xiaomi Redmi 11 Prime 5G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10T 5G, Xiaomi Mi 11X 5G, Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro 5G, Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G, Xiaomi 11i 5G and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G.
The latest software version has to be installed
If you have any device from the smartphones included in the list, then you will have to install the latest software version rolled out for it. You can also check for this update manually by going to the Software Update section after the device’s Settings. Earlier, Jio’s True 5G network has also started getting Apple iPhone models and the California-based tech company has updated its devices in India.
Jio’s 5G services are available in these cities
The rollout of Reliance Jio’s 5G services is happening rapidly in new circles and currently, users are able to use Jio 5G in more than 50 major cities. The list of these cities includes Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Noida), Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Nathdwara, Kochi, 33 district headquarters of Gujarat, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur.
