Former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar took a dig at Mohammad Shami as he shared a ‘sensible’ tweet by Harsha Bhogle. Earlier team India pace bowler had reacted to Shoaib’s tweet as he wrote “It’s called Karma”. The series of tweets came after Pakistan lost the finals of the T20I World Cup 2022 against England and became the runners-up of the tournament.
Pakistan played the finals of the T20I World Cup 2022 against England. In the first innings, they put up 137 runs on the board while batting first. Skipper Babar Azam scored 32 runs while other batsmen also contributed with their bat. In reply, Jos Buttler-led England side chased down the target in the last over with the help of a half-century by Ben Stokes who was also the main person behind the English team’s victory in the ODI World Cup 2019.
Ben Stokes has now retired from 50 over cricket and currently plays Test cricket and T20 Internationals for England.
Speaking of the tweet battle between Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Shami, Pakistan pace bowler had shared a heartbreak emoji from his official Twitter account. Shami retweeted it and said “it’s all Karma” and added heartbreak emoji as well. In reply, Shoaib Akhtar attached a tweet from Harsha Bhogle and said “And this is what you call sensible tweet”.
Harsha Bhogle had tweeted “Credit to Pakistan. Few teams would have defended 137 the way they did. Best Bowling team”. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf displayed some great bowling performances as the English batsmen were finding it difficult to chase down the total. However, Ben Stokes took the charge and stayed till the end as he completed his 50 and took England past the total.
