Know how much DA will increase
A few months back, the Modi government had increased the DA of central employees and pensioners by 4 per cent to 38 per cent. The discussion is now intensifying that DA is going to be increased by another 4 percent.
If this happens, the DA will increase to 42 per cent. Due to this, a record breaking increase in the salary of the employees will be seen. Another government may soon take a decision on increasing the fitment factor as well.
Bumper salary increases
If the Modi government increases the fitment factor of central employees, the salary is likely to increase manifold. The minimum basic pay of the employees has been fixed at Rs 18,000. The fitment factor now stands at 2.57x.
The demand of the employees was that it should be increased to 3.68 times as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. This will see a big increase in their basic pay. 3.68 times, the minimum wage will be Rs 26,000. Accordingly, the annual salary of the employees will increase by Rs 96,000, which is not less than a big achievement.
