Bhubaneswar: The prices of petrol and diesel in the capital city of Bhubaneswar have increased on February 3, 2023. On Friday, the cost of petrol has been recorded at Rs 103.60 per litre, while diesel has been priced at Rs 95.15 per litre.
The prices of petrol and diesel in Cuttack have decreased today. Petrol has been priced at Rs 103.38 per litre and diesel has been recorded at Rs 94.93 per litre.
The petrol prices of the major cities of India have been recorded as follows: Rs. 96.72 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 106.03 per litre in Kolkata, Rs. 106.31 per litre in Mumbai, and Rs. 102.63 per litre in Chennai.
The diesel prices in the major cities of India have been recorded as follows: Rs. 89.62 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 92.76 per litre in Kolkata, Rs. 94.27 per litre in Mumbai, and Rs. 94.24 per litre in Chennai.
State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise the fuel rates on a daily basis, by taking into account the crude oil prices in the international markets, and the rupee-dollar exchange rates. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.
Globally, oil prices eased following weak U.S. payrolls data and some profit taking but remained underpinned by tight supply as OPEC+ producers stuck to planned moderate output increases. Brent crude fell 37 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to $89.10 a barrel, after rising 31 cents on Wednesday. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was down 54 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $87.72 a barrel, having gained 6 cents the previous day.
