Meet Haziq Parvez from Shopian who bagged 10th rank in NEET UG-2022

Says anything achievable if you are hard working, consistent; ‘Going to choose neurology branch’

Srinagar, Sept 08 (KNO): A student from South Kashmir’s Shopian district has bagged 10th rank in NEET UG-2022 across India as he has secured 710 points out of 720.

Haziq Parveez Lone son of Parvez Ahmad Lone resident of Trenz village of Shopian has topped NEET in Jammu and Kashmir and he has credited his success to parents and teachers of Akaash Institute Srinagar.


While talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Haziq said that he is very happy after achieving this dream of topping NEET in J&K and bagging 10th all India rank.

Haziq has got his primary schooling from Dolphin Public School Pulwama, then he moved to Shah-e-Hamdaan Public School Shopian for 9th and 10th standard schooling.

He got his secondary education from Government Higher Secondary School Turkwangam and later went on to pursue his coaching at Akaash Institute for the last two years.

He said that anything can be achieved if you are consistent and hardworking. “I was expecting that I will crack the NEET but getting 10th rank was beyond expectations,” he said.

“During Covid-19 when we shifted from offline to online, I personally faced a lot of difficulties because internet shutdowns in Shopian were frequent due to which I missed many classes,” he said.

He, however, said that one needs to continue his hard work even in difficult and hard times, then and only then any feat can be achieved, which he did.

“My dream was to become a doctor which is now going to come true. I am going to choose neurology branch and become a neurologist,” he added—(KNO)
