Wild animals on Tuesday injured a man and killed 30 sheep in two separate incidents in Uri area of North Kashmir’s baramulla district.
Official Sources told GNS that one Meer Ahmad son of Umer Ali of Nawarunda Uri was wounded in a bear attack last night while he was guarding his maize field. He was immediately shifted SDH Uri where from latter he referred to GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment, they said.
In other incident, they said, at least 30 sheep were killed by a leopard in Braripora Boniyar of Uri alst night.
They said sheep belongs to two farmers identified as Yasir Ahmad Kachoo and Majid Ahmad Sheikh.
A team of wildlife department and Sheep husbandry department visited the spot for assessing the loss, they added. (GNS)
