50K fine imposed on event organizers for littering park in Budgam
Srinagar,Jan 09 (KS): Authorities on Monday imposed a fine of 50 thousands on Organizers of an event (District President,Food & Supplies Employees Association Budgam )for littering in Behisht-e-Zehra Park.
“Whereas, the District President, Food Supplies Employees Association, Budgam preferred an application vide No. FSEA/Bud/2023/01-03, dated 05.01.2023 requesting therein to allow the gathering of the employees with regard to the event on 07.01.2023 in Behisht-e-Zehra (SA) Park adjacent to DC Office Budgam to meet out the prolonged issues of the department; whereas, permission was granted to the said Association for organizing the above mentioned event on 07.01.2023 in the Behisht-e-Zehra (SA) Park, Budgam as per NOC issued by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Budgam vide No. CS/Per- 28/22/392-94, dated 06.01.2023.” Reads the order issued by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, a copy of which lies with The kashmir Scroll
“Whereas, the organizers have not maintained sanitation of the park and raw material, eatables etc. were found around the venue of the event and this shows the irresponsible behavior and non-seriousness of the organizers of the event.” It adds further.
“Now, therefore, keeping in view the sanctity of the matter a penalty/fine of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) is imposed on the organizers (District President, Food Supplies Employees Association, Budgam) which shall be deposited in the District Red Cross Account within two days failing which, the election of the newly elected body will be declared null and void.” Reads the order.
